Congrat's with this outstanding lot. The first time I see a color picture of this ultra rare award.

Only remark: I would have covered some points on the award pictures or showed no extreme close-ups. Fakers love to make copies of badges with small chance for comparising before buying.

Imagining the tasks for this award gives me the feeling it would be similar to an ironman competition but less grueling.(like:swimming 50 miles in the ocean ,then running on land for a few miles, or something similar) so would you care to outline for us ,what the specific physical challenges were that one would have to overcome to win the Gold navy sports badge, and would it be in direct competition with others in masse, and to have come in first and possibly have been timed with a stop watch ?

I admit I haven't ever seen this badge either in my tenure of collecting , so,The low serial number does make sense , and so is there a tally on how many were ever awarded?

This badge must have been won during the time goering was still hooked into the SA, and the kesselring award document for the IC was interesting also.
