Grey Metal, non ferrous casting, 34 mm, min mount marked L CHR Lauer NURNBERG BERLIN, very grainy surface.

This is an odd one, strange pin setup the ones i have seen were in
aluminium

The link posted by Gerdan has the same pin! And the style of the crimped pin on the aluminum planchet looks good to me. If that one is original the pin on this one would also be from the same period. The sturdy pin on this one appears to be made from nickel plated brass. The badge I have here is 2 mm thick and 14.7 gm if that helps any.

This one now looks good enough to post on estand if nobody has anything bad to say about it.

Thank you RonR for the pics of your badge.
Lauer used the same milled planchet, the same round pin disk, a similar heavy plated brass pin, and a similar dark finish that bubbled.
The reverse die was different, their name was just switched to a different place.

Mine is just a different variation.
I am not into collecting variations so I will let it go to some HJ collector out there who might like it.
