    SA-Reiterführer

ErichS asked me to send him some photos of this badge so I thought I would start a new thread with them.

These badges are very rare and are seldom seen in good condition. They are made of Cupal and usually have a large amount of the copper showing through the silver plate. This badge was stored in its case so is in great condition.

I know where you got that as I used to own it A pretty penny but I don't think there is a finer example out there of this exceedingly rare badge. I'm glad that it has become part of your super collection Stan, another gem amongst many

Very nice, Stan! I know there was also a non-portable version (I had been offered a cased non-portable several years ago that looked right). I suspect most of the awarded examples ended up being non-portable, since the badge is so large it would seem to be unwieldy to actually wear. That plus the low number awarded would probably explain why there are few photos of the Reiter badge in wear.

                Stan, that's a beauty of a badge!

I somehow feel part responsible for this new direction, sorry!

Here is my Reiter SA with original box!
It's about 10 and half centimetres.
