2 Hitler Youth items for review

    Hello all,
I was hoping I could get some help on either of these pieces. I just do not know if they are authentic.
    Thanks to all that respond.

Both are Bad my left foot

Hi Dolchman, The Reichsjugentag 1932 is a Perfect Original by Aurich. I dont know what K H has to complain about ? Maybe he has never seen an Aurich made one before. Everything is correct on the badge, the Proper Aurich Trademark, the Old Pin attachment placing mound can still be seen under the new replacement. (Similar to the square ones used on some Hoffstätter versions of this badge. There are a few Different Hoffstätter versions)

It has seen a hard life though, and would not be worth much in this condition, as they are relatively easy to come by.

I cant comment on the stickpin sorry.

          Potsdammabzeichens

          Hi dolchmann07

josef is def. correct, its a original aurich thoe over time the front is soft and bluery and yes the lack of details will effect the price. The Potsdammabzeichen comes in 2 variants a bronce and in silver, you can see my 2 HS. Bonn abz in pics below and beside the 70 year dust they are in almost perfect conditon, see the front and compare. the bronce ( as yours ) is fairly rare and not everyday to see, the silver is def. hard to find. Sorry mate but your stickpin is imo a fake, have see alot of them arround and do not live up to standart/kvality or makingsproces.

          cheers mate

Sorry, but I don't like the Aurich piece. I have never seen an early badge with a roller style pin and the detail is so poor, I would pass on this one. JMO.

                  2 pins for review

The dimensions are as stated below. It is not a mini. While I highly respect Josef's opinion, condition and its still questionable status makes me want to put this in my dog pile regardless of its autheticity. I believe Ron and Josef are both right on this subject, I think the pin back is a modern replacement. These maker of badge seemed to easily shed their pinbacks if they are the Aurich type, which seem to be a design flaw more than anything. I do not want it, in my collection and have no intentions of it going in anyone else's collection.
I thank all that have helped me come to my conclusion.

The reason for the "poor detail" has also been covered here, Twice !!

The badge is 100% Original I also don't like the condition, but that does not mean that the badge is not Genuine, quite the opposite.
(If you want to see Fake Hermann Aurich badges, just go to the late Mike Pinkus`site. (RIP) he had/has a few Fakes up there, all vetted as Original when they are in fact rubbish. )
