Edelweiss pin

I don't know if this is a tinnie, or some other purpose thing. It is about the size of the one used on the GJ visor caps, but it is pinback rather than prongs....like most of what I have seen for the cap devices and it is a duller finish. Maybe some kind of pin like for Tag Der Wehrmacht......???

I have had several of these over the years.... they are not military in my opinion.
