M9/15 Otto Schickle Tag der Arbeit 1935

    Well,

I guess most think this is just one more common 1935 Tag der Arbeit tinnie. But this tinnie is seldom encountered by this maker. The degree of rarity? I really don't know, but it is the first I've ever seen. I just feel very lucky to have found one for the collection, and wanted to share it.

Thanks for sharing, Robert. While I'm not familiar with the manufacturer myself, it's always good to see the capable design work provided by Prof. Richard Klein!

        Thank you,

The more of these tinnies I find the more amazed I am at the amount of manufactureres that made medals as well. Otto Schickle made one of the most sought after EK's.

Here's a close-up showing a die flaw in the date...

I wouldn´t mind having it my collection!

Don´t throw away your fake WB´s! Get in touch with me.
I collect them for reference purposes for the benefit of the hobby (for the right "fake" price of course).

Another beautiful design from Otto Schickle. Someone there had a very good eye.

              Hi Guys,

Just dragging up this old thread to ask a question. Does anyone know what metal this tinnie is made out of?

              Best regards,
              ---Norm

                Norm, It´s aluminum.

Yes, all were aluminum. Their presentation tinnie (cased) was made of tombak. I happen to have one I found through Herr Weitze.
