Stickpins......various.....and a couple of other pins.

Still bored, but I really didn't take many pictures of stickpins....and, of course, I don't know where they are packed to take them now. In fact I don't even know what all the stickpins are because I never really did collect stickpins.

Agreed, the Heerflak is not seen very often. Weitze has two of them. One 9mm and one 16mm for sale on his website. Both a bit pricey!

      Real good find Ron!!

      Cheers

Chris, what do you think about this cast Stahlhelm pin? Details seem not that sharp...

i have no problem with it. it looks totally period and is one of the earlier designs eg before 1926 as the "s" is old stlye. yes agreed crudly made compared to most shb items but as stated i think ok

carnt really tell if cast or pressed ? ron can you answer that question please

                  Chris,

I would love too, but right now I really don't know where these things are packed, and, sorry, but I don't remember.

The first pin; sort of a Roman style.
What is that orange material the Roman is on ?

That's amber - there are quite a number of tinnies that use amber or Bernstein as it's called in German.

Just got back..........Curt of course is correct. They also used to make stems for pipes out of it too, mostly on Meerschaum pipes.......trouble is that it is brittle, and it sometimes would catch on fire.
