SS Tinnie: Aufmarsch Abschnitt XI for Review

    Hello,

The pin hass been replaced, that much I'm sure. But is the tinnie itself original?
The details seem correct, it certainly is not like the fakes I've seen.

    So what do you think?

        hi there mate

Sorry to bring bad news to you, but imo its a fake. the conteur is wrong, the badge is general to bluery, the letters, eagle and skull is wrong, the runes is to " heavy " , the patina looks like braun lack, the backside is typical fake, so all in all be carefull to put that in your collection. i have a pic of this rare badge in original so you can see the diffrence. cheers mate hope you get your money back.

          Hi Carsten,

I appreciate you input, but the example you show IS the typical fake that has flooded the market. The first big flaw is that the rune should be touching the skull and going slightly behind it.

          See this thread:

          http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...ight=ss+tinnie

The contours on the originals are, and should be as the badge I've shown. This is a case of a fake being better than the original.

            Hi there

I have to agree with ETN on this, especially with the Rune, this should be slightly behind, or as I say stabbing the skull.

            Thanks
