A nice pair of undervalued badges IMO.

This badge would be a very valued one if the Blut Order wasn´t occupied its place. Now, only those collectors in the know appreciate it as the badge deserves. I supose things will change in the future.

Greg, it's known that the Blood Order didn't replace this badge because it continued to be awarded well into the 30's. Here's a few photos of the badge in wear.

            Yes, I know.
But recipients and conditions to be awarded were the same, and while the Muchen one was a Gau level badge, the BO was a Reich level one. So, as VIP personalities in the Third Reich support the BO wearing this medal and not the Munchen badge, this one was unvalued even before 1945. Do you imagine how much would be the Munchen badges today if they had been commonly used by Hitler, Goring and the others during the marchs every 9th November instead the blut order?

Greg, I agree that the GMB was probably given to those from the Gau who participated in the Putsch and later Adolf Wagner gave it to others with no connection to the events of the 9th of November, Kinda like the 2nd pattern BO. With that being said, I don't think there is period reference proving what Wagner awarded the badge for. Some feel that other than having the same motto the GMB has no relationship to the BO.
