HJ appointment lanyard?

This is a photo of my Father taken around 1944.

Could anyone confirm the purpose of the silver cord on (his) right shoulder strap, (which I understand may indicate "Fuhrer-Bewerber" - active Officer applicant).

I would also like confirmation of the appointment lanyard being worn on (his) left shoulder strap, (which I believe is red - to indicate HJ-Bannfuhrer).

I would appreciate any comments/assistance!

I am not an expert on the H/J, but checking `The H/J` by J Angolia came up with the following (please note these are not nessacery the definitive answers as regulations change from year to year sometimes with these organisations.

A 5 mm wide silver bar was worn on the S/B at the base to denote Rottenfuhrer ( 1938 rank system, the final system)

Leaders lanyard 340mm long cord of 3.5mm thickness and with 35 loops Red = Bannfuhrer with RZM tag in blue print.

It doesn't appear to be a leadership lanyard. They were woven of multiple cords and were quite a bit thicker. The "loops" that Ashley mentioned would be clearly visible in the photo above if that's what it was. Also, the cord is not attached appropriately at the shoulder or the pocket for the leadership emblem. What I think is shown is a whistle lanyard, with the whistle stuck in the pocket (a common practice).
