Thanks. I wonder if these were given as donation items (like tinnies) or if they were sold outright at events for a somewhat higher price? (Can't find this in any of my reference books).

The mirrors aren't seen often now but were fairly common way back when (both in Europe, North America, and probably elsewhere. They were primarily advertising giveaways, but there were also a lot of souvenir and political pieces during election campaigns. I suspect that most of the Nazi ones were sold commercially. This example is an uncommonly nice one, as most examples have litho or celluloid backs.

Thanks for your input. The material of this piece puzzles me. It looks to be
bakelite. Does this make sense? Have you ever seen these made of bakelite? It does not appear to be metal. It has a somewhat hollow odd sound when tapped. Perhaps as you mention, it could be celluloid.
