Yes your right it is FAKE the elongated attach plate with the clipped ends is a dead giveaway.

Both your badges fall in the category of Transitional period badges this would be in early 1934/35 I came to this conclusion due to the fonts used on the front and the lack of the normal M1/ used with the markers number. The 44 badge was made by C. Dinsel, Berlin-Waidmannslust and the 25 badge was made by Rudolf Reiling, Pforzheim.
