        Dear Gerdan

Thankyou for the links and it now makes some sort of sense.

A possible quasi scientific declaration that the town was proud of !

The badge however is 1932 ?

        Regards,

        David

        1934
A glass globe was placed on the roof of the town hall. Now Pausa had it's emblem as "centre of the earth".
The "Earth Axis" can be seen in a cellar room in the town hall. Here the visitor can watch the axis rotate and even can he lubricate it and dispose over how the world goes round. The lubrication process is supervised by the club Erdachsendeckelscharnierschmiernippel-Kommission zu Pausa e.V. (http://www.hahn-pausa.de).

          Very early and ultrarare tinnie.
Although the oficial event was in 1934, I suppose that people in this village were proud of their geographical situation in the previous years when the news about this question were spreading around Germany. Nazis were very "sensitive" to this kind of topics.
          Cheers

I don't collect tinnies as a rule, but this one is one to have! It's great! And
Erdachsendeckelscharnierschmiernippel-Kommission zu Pausa e.V. (http://www.hahn-pausa.de)--I wonder if there is an Obererdachsendeckelscharnierschmiernippelleiter who orders the Untererdachsendeckelscharnierschmiernippelleiter around?
