    Is this a WWII German Pin?

    Can't find this pin in any of my books. Don't have many reference books on german militaria.

    Yes it is German. It is from a set of 10 WHW (Winterhilfswerk) pins put out in Feb. 1941.

        And made of zinc; if you don't know the purpose of the pin, another indicator of being probably German and made during the war time period. It was the only metal that they had plenty of.

          It is from a series of traffic road signs, issued by the WHW. This one is the old style of the German YIELD! traffic road sign. Cheers, Torsten.
