"Gau Moselland" Wooden Tinnie?

Can't seem to find any information on this, except that Gau Koblenz-Trier was renamed Gau Moselland in 1942 and the Gauleiter was Gustav Simon from 1931 to 1945.

Any ideas on what this badge/tinnie was for?
