I agree, there have been no credible fakes if you know what you're looking at, but for someone who has never physically handled an original, there are some dangerous fakes. I don't know if this one would feel like a strike vs a casting, but it's a better copy than most I've seen.

This is off subject, but it's kinda neat that someone is trying to reproduce the exact badge that you own!

I think I'd almost be proud.

Thanks all for the comments! the medal is not a cast it is struck which is why I had a small glimmer of hope - oh well! Erich if you want a nice copy to sit next to your real one drop me a pm!

Yes, too many things different from an original to be cast.
