This was a early piece to promote Hitlers "Work, freedom and bread" program.
I found this quote, dealing with the early propaganda program "Hitler achieved his aims was through his political tactics and Nazi propaganda. Nazi propaganda made Hitler as the only leader who could save Germany and said he was destined to become national leader. Many Germans liked the Nazis' anti-Communist views. Goebbels manipulated propaganda very well, he modified many effective posters with clever slogans such as, "Work, freedom and bread". He also organised mass parades and rallies so everyone in Germany would know the Nazis. "
It is a very nice piece, I like it very much, good for you.

        pin

Thanks Jack. Could this pin have been pre-1933 then, and has anyone seen a pin like this before? I`ve been unable to find another! Thanks for any help.

First time I see this one. The sympathie pin with simply the swastika and white field with red border you see much more often. Freedom and bread: it is also used in the Horst Wessel Song and fits perfectly in Jack's remarks.

There is a pin with the exact same design in Tieste but it is described as being made of metal so there is no celluloid centre. Since there is no date on the pin the catalogue number is just 00-01. Vol. 1 page 296 of newest edition.

Thanks to all for your opinions on this pin, however there`s still no guess to what kind of value it might have or if anyone has seen this pin before? Thanks again

It's definitely pre-33 and re the price, I would say $100-125.00 in today's market.

I would agree with this estimate and identification. , if not up it a bit. To a collector of these "things" maybe even 200 USD. I would also like to take this opportunity to raise a question, or bring the obvious to peoples attention.

Note the stickpin is NOT knurled, like it Should/or should not be? it does not matter one bit. Your stick pin is real, and fine. But when, or `if`i posted a SS pin, or something else other that a "simple" sympathy pin, people would be getting their panties wet and this would be the first thing that they would be saying.... you can read this on so many posts ...
So i answer your question, and ask as well, where are these "experts" who always fall back on the same lame arguments that the stickpin is not knurled, and therefore the item is not original??? i think, these "experts" only use this "clause" when it applies to their area of collecting. And even then, they can still bring ZERO historical facts to the table of how it "should have been" !!

                          Nice object !!

certainly original. whether the stickpin is original to this badge or not, I do not know. It may have been re-soldered on or it may be a replacement. Hard to tell, unless we have a couple of other pins of this type to compare. Pre-1945 stickpins come in knurled and smooth varieties, as do post-1945 stickpins. Cheers, Torsten.
