    Hi fellas - dont think i've seen such an intertwined mark. Is this a good transitional? Thanks

    Seems solid brass - the gray areas are old tarnish not remains of plating which this i think never had.

      The lettering is the same as the one depicted in Tuckers book on page 10. However that example has the "Ges. Gesch." on the planchet and "CB" on the pinplate. Someone told me that at a certain time, makermarks might no longer be placed on the pin plate. So it is possible that your type of badge came after the version depicted in the book.
