1924 Der Stahlhelm badge

I just found my first Der Stahlhelm badge, if any one might have a 1921 for sale, I would like to buy it. These pieces just have never crossed my path.
If anyone knows, I had a few questions, were these produced in high numbers.
Is this the wrong category, I see them in 3rd Reich books. And are most of them etched like this one. Thanks for the help.

I did not realize when I wrote the questions above that 15 years of these were made. I would like to put it on a uniform, just to display it, would it be better on a SA tunic or NSDAP tunic ? Wher was it worn ? A lot of questions, for a small pin..

YES. Looks OK to me , how much are they asking ? The earlier the date the more they bring.

1924 pin

I already paid for this, I was comfortable with it and I know the seller.
I had only seen a 1921 and the 1924 and one other year, so I thought only 3 years were made. They must not of been highly produced or I would of been able to add a example to my collection in over 30 years.

YES. Looks OK to me , how much are they asking ? The earlier the date the more they bring.

How true. Especially the 1918 version. Franz Seldte bestowed only 17 pieces to his comrads on November 11, 1933 at the Stadhalle at Magdeburg.

Der Stahlhelm Badges

Hi All,
I have been told that Der Stahlhelm badges were produced right up until 1935. Is this correct? I also believe that there are two types of female badge one marked "F" & the other "M" could anyone confirm this please? I am also chasing the membership badges for fair prices if anyone has any for sale. Thanks for all your help.

Hi Nozinaround, and welcome among us! In response to your first question: On March 28, 1934 Bundesführer Franz Seldte issued a proclamation detailing in nine points the dissolution of the Stahlhelm Bund and setting forth its future life and operation under its new title, The National Socialist German Front-Soldier League (Stahlhelm). On November 14, 1935, Dr. Wilhelm Frick, Minister of the Interior, issued an order prohibiting any further awards of this traditions badge and permitting only the newly-created 22mm NSDFBSt membership badge to be worn on civilian clothes. By this time the Stahlhelm and all other veterans’ organizations were completely absorbed under the Obersten SA-Führung, the Supreme Command of the SA. So yes, I would imagine that the dated Stahlhelm Commemorative Badges for all years continued to be manufactured and made available to the membership until they were banned in late 1935, though the last awards of the badge were made in 1932. As to the female branch of Der Stahlhelm, I have only seen (and own) the beautiful lapis blue badge bearing the "F" for Frauenbund. But now that you mention it, since there also existed a Jungstahlhelm badge/pin for boy members, it stands to reason that there may have been a "Mädelbund" organization intended for young girls -- comparable to the HJ and the BDM -- and that may have worn a badge similar to the Frauenbund but with an "M" instead of the "F." Very interesting, but again, I have never seen or, until now, read any reference to such a badge bearing an "M." I anxiously await the upcoming essay from our colleague, Wilhelm Saris, in a future issue of "Military Advisor" magazine on the broad subject of Der Stahlhelm!

Thank you so much for your welcoming and your excellent comments they are greatly appreciated. This is an area that is under researched but so interesting. I have indeed seen the blue "M" badge but missed out on picking one up. I have the blue "F" and smaller "Youth" badge as well as building my collection of year date badges. I would be very interested in obtaining a copy of this "Military Advisor" can you let me know where I may obtain copies of these?

Anyone out there that has "Join Date" items for sale would greatly appreciate you contacting me.
