    1922 Linz

Has anyone seen this one, it is not in Tieste's. It is dated on the top 1922 and in the sunwheel swastika 1919 I think it says Deutschen Turnerbund. I have had this for many years. It is large, the wingspan is nearly 7CM

Thank you for the reference Speedytop. I did a search and must of mispelled the word.
But once I saw the link, I realized I had more than just the one and they are all later dates. I learn something new everyday. A great hobby.

The event was in Austria. Linz is a city in Austria and not in Germany. The badges shown here are Austrian. Cheers, Torsten.

The Turnerbund logo as used here isn’t a mobile swastika it is in fact their use of a pagan sun wheel rune depicting health and vitality, they also have incorporated their own gymnastic four F logo onto this rune. The earliest use of the sun wheel rune I found was on Bert Sammlerecke’s website was 1902 which predates the NSDAP by several years.

                Linz

Thanks guys I was looking at a very old map and by comparing the spot I was looking at, I realize now it was Linz on the Rhine, I was seeing. I did not have my reading glasses on.
I feel like I learned a lot from this thread, I thank the moderator for explaining it real slow so I do not jump to conclusions.

I now realize I even have the 1902 piece.

It could be helpful: there was also a "stamp" given on this occasion in Linz 1922 with the same symbols:

The 1922 Turnfest was not in Linz / Rhein but in Linz/Donau (Austria).

If you see the lowermost photo the boot is on the river Donau - not on the river Rhein.
