    Rare HJ membership Badge !

Here is a membership badge of the Hitler Youth in Croatia from 1941-45. It was known as the "Deutsche Jugend" and had about 50,000 members, this particular badge belonged to my late father who was a "Volksdeutscher" from Croatia. There were about 250,000 to 300,000 ethnic Germans in Croatia and had their
own organizations based on the NSDAP ones in the Reich.
It's mker marked on the reverse "Ceugmeisterei, Essegg" which was the equivelant to the RZM in the Reich. It supplied badges for all "Volksdeutsche" organizations in Croatia.

        Dear Seppl,

taking you usual knowledge into account, I do not want to suggest the badge is bogus, but I have a serious question: Why is the German word Zeugmeisterei written with a "C" in the beginning in this case and not the usual "Z".?

        Cheers, Frank H.

          Dear Munich,
The spelling is not wrong for a Croatian! As "C" is pronounced the same as "Z" in German. It's spelled Ceugmeisterei instead of Zeugmeisterei, as if a Croatian spelled it.
The badge belonged to my father and Weitze has one in bad condition on his Website for sale exaltly the same.

My Onkel was also member of Hitlerjugend in Kroatien during 1941-45, I have never seen this badge before, I have a Foto of him wearing a HJ badge but it is impossible to see whether it is the same badge as yours!
