Need Identification Wolf's Angle, Opferrune Tinnie

    Hi,

Here's a nice Wolf's Angle or Opferrune tinnie. My guess is that it was something sold through the WHW. Does anyone know for certain what Organization/Event this tinnie was meant for?

    Thanks,
    Erich

P.S. Sorry for the dark photo

      It's a Wolfsangel, not an Opfer-rune.

The Wolfsangel was originally worn with civilian clothes to show the wearer's support for an 'independent' Germany, i.e. free from the restrictions of Versailles, foreign intervention etc.

Goebbels often wore a metal one on his tie.

As time progressed, it was worn by various Nazi and pseudo-nationalist groups.

There were various maker variants and styles, of which this is one.

        Hi Guy,

Thanks for your help, so we will rule out WHW.

        Thanks,

          Hello Robin,

Thanks for your help. So it's not a tinnie then?
Is it a generic pin that could be purchased and worn for whatever reason the buyer had in mind?

          Thanks,
          Erich
