The sense of camaraderie between the Dutch and Germans, that was actually created by the joint internment in the concentration of the democratic system of government was further reinforced at the meetings in Rotterdam, The Hague, Amsterdam and Utrecht in 1941, which took place to commemorate this fact. Together with the Germans staged it in these places large gatherings to commemorate the internment of one year in advance!
