Perhaps, we should give credit where credit is due? The i.d., b&w photo, and catalog listing are from Heering and Hüsken's Katalog der Abzeichen deutscher Organisationen 1871-1945. This publication is still in print and I'd recommend it as a prime reference for anyone with a serious interest in the area of German membership pins and awards.

Sorry, of course you are right, Verkuilen.

                  Gerd & Verkulian,
You guys are first rate! Thanks.
Yes, that reference book has been on my shopping list for quite some time now.
Can you recommend a good source for it?

I got mine directly from Hüsken. If you're interested in German awards, I'd also recommend his Katalog der Orden und Ehrenzeichen des deutschen Reiches 1871-1945. Despite the title, primarily Third Reich, and similar to Forman's (photos and values but virtually no commentary) but a key resource.

I can only emphasize this. Hüsken might be a non-gentleman dealer, but his publications are first class!
                      Cheers, Frank
