    Hi John,

Glad you like it. The camera I use is a Ricoh Caplio. It has a 1cm marcro lens. I've been very pleased with it so far.

Although, probably the hardest thing about photographing enamels is the light and problems of glare. I direct the light onto a wall adjacent my table, plus I use the 'white balance' function to compensate for the artificial light.

    Best,
    Toby.

John, you can also find this book at http://www.manions.com in the Referance book section page 2 for $35 USD, postage would a lot less then from Germany also.

        Hi Toby,
Thanks for your prompt reply! I notice also that the background you use can also affect the quality of the shot as enamel absords the color around it.
        Interesting technique you use.

        John
