Here is my bike cap badge. As can be seen, there are metal hooks protruding from each side, to be bent back on the bike cap to keep the badge in place.

In der Bingle's post 46, depicting the reverse of his member's stickpin, there are two circles formed where the bent hooks would be on the cap badge.
