    American Bund Tinnie

I picked this up recently. It seems to be pretty scarce. I couldn't find any info on the pin or a Chicago meeting with the corresponding dates. I would appreciate any help. Thanks.

Reverse. I don't know if these are faked. It is really well made and this is the first one that i've encountered. The fakes seem to run in packs.

Don't know much about it, but would love to have it, given my location..
If you decide it needs a new home, drop me a PM.

        bund

Its original. I`ve seen several of these and even though Bund stuff is pretty rare, this tinnie is is the most common of the Bund tinnies, though still very sought after. Nice piece.

I'd say its an original. It incorporates the emblem of Germans in foreign countries in the design.

matovsky !! The posted DAV tinnie does not incorporate the emblem of Germans in foreign countries (the VDA or Volksbund d.Deutschum in Ausland); the design on the tinnie is the emblem / logo of Fritz Kuhn's Deutscher Amerika Volksbund, as reflected on its flags & other memorabilia. The 3 letters 'DAV' are seen as with the 'D' laying on its side, with the 'AV' inside the "D".

I had actually purchased one of these from an online dealer a while back. Unfortunately the dealer sent it to the incorrect address and it has gotten lost in the mail. Luckily the dealer was upstanding and provided a full refund even though I would much rather have had the tinnie. If you have any thoughts of selling this, please let me know as I would dearly have loved to add the one I purchased to my collection.

I couldn't agree more, William: I'd love to have one in my collection, too!

                    Cheers,
