DAF-Honour pin in Gold

This is an award which is seldom seen and can sell for relatively high prices. I saw this one at Kassel and bought it right away from a dealer who had only just bought it himself.

The books say that it is an Honour Pin for Model Factories. Does anyone else have any more information on these very nice awards?

I was the under-bidder for a cased one of these at Hermann Historica in April. It sold for €1600 including commission. I paid €500 for this one without a case which I thought was reasonable.
