The first one looks like a ferry token used to get to the Jersey island. The second one is a identification disk for someone working for the German labor corp. in the British channel islands. anyway thats my opinion.

I think the first is a food token from the Channel Islands ,I bought a whole load of them from a London Dealer in the 70's ,but I cant remember wether they were fantasy pieces or real .Rob

          tokens

These popped up in the early to mid 70s--there were possibly 3 different types. I'm not sure whether or not they were based on actual tokens, or just fantasy pieces.

              Hi Mi.

After hearing Mike´s and Rob´s comments and seeing your Todt-disk,
I don´t think neither of us has struck gold. The simularity of the two
discs (5RM and Ausweis) is too obvious and could easily be mixed up.
There also ought to be some kind of ID-number on the Ausweis, which
could have been stamped on the plain reverse. Just my thoughts.

              Regards
              Peter

Peter, The lack of an ID number on the Ausweis disk could be because it was never issued.

Mike, I don't know what it was used for but the design on the rectangle piece is the universal emblem used by all NJGs employed as night fighters using BF110s and Ju 88s.

Hi Peter, all tokens said to be from the Channel Islands are fantasy, produced in the 70's..They come in all sizes and shapes... Sorry..
                  Warmest Regards ... John

                        Hi Mike.

No I can´t but a wild guess is that it´s supposed
                        to be a token to a field-brothel.

                        Regards

Mike,, In fact it translates to 'Soldiers Home' being places, normally hotels, designated as soldiers clubs... And yes there was a 'Soldartenheim' in St.Brelade (my parish) as well as one in St.Helier ( the capital of Jersey)

These tokens were never used during the occupation, only occupation notes and coin as in the rest of occupied Europe.

If you think about it, there are no records of such things turning up with 'Soldartenheim Paris, Amsterdam etc, so why use a different method of payment, in the Channel Islands, than the rest of the occupied territories..

                          Hope this helps..
