Members are advised to be aware of these fake VDA pins that are cropping up on websites.

Originals should normally be enamelled or very occasionally painted. The Ges.Gesch on the reverse should never be in a recessed block like this....

Thx Don. You would think that with all today's modern computer assisted technology available that they could have at least have done a decent job of faking these pins. Maybe they copied a fake?

Though not very well faked, you can be sure a lot of people will be fooled.

Thanks Lyn & Gregorio. As we know, old dogs like us would not be fooled by it but I posted in the hope that some of the newer members or those less versed in enamels may not be fooled.
