Duzig, I have two auto plakettes ( one quite badly damaged ) which are both Deumer, I believe them to be original. I have not seen ones by other makers to form an opinion. But with Paulmann & Crone manufacturing the small olympic pins it would not suprise me that they manufactured the auto plakette also. Can you post some pics?

Interestingly I have never seen two of these badges with the same number on the rear. They have all been different. I can't imagine what they would be other than some type of worker's or official's badge but, if so, you would think a photo of one in wear would exist.
If they are fake, someone went to a lot of trouble many years ago. They have been around since the late 1970's/early 1980's, have excellent enamel work and additionally each has a unique number on the rear.

Speaking of swastika Olympic pins, just got this one. Authentic? If yes, how common is this type?Attached FilesLast edited by Filip; 03-06-2011, 06:30 PM.

I would like to add this example to the discussion.
This pin came to me in a group of items and I paid next to nothing for it so I really dont care one way or the other but I do find it interesting that the other pins of this type that I have seen have different numbers.
This pin shows different detail in the swastika, font thickness and lacks the numbers (unissued ?).Attached Files
