    "Coin" ID question

My uncle showed me a "coin" over Christmas, and I thought I'd ask around a few forums to see if anyone recognizes it.

It is a tad smaller than a U.S. quarter. One side has 4 lines-top line: 10; second line-STADT; third line-DUEREN (only the UE is a U umlaut); fourth line -1918-.

Other side has the left profile bust of a man looking to the left side of the coin in an M1916 helmet.

    Ideas?

    Hi Wm T Ripley,
i think you will find that this is coinage minted by the town of Duren. Sorry i can not rember the full details regarding the coin, but used like a local coinage.

      Coin ID?

So, would the "10" then indicate the denomination I assume? Like 10 pfennig or 10 Mark?

            Hi Wm,
yes that is my asumption and due to the cionbeing of a low quality metal i think i would go for the 10 pf.
