    Another SA Treffen

I've been looking through threads on this badge and haven't found an exact match either way to one that's been offered to me. From what I can see, the details look good, or at least better than those deemed definite fakes. It may be thicker than some of those believed to be original though, if the reverse edges are anything to go by.

Could I please have your opinions on the following example. These are the only pics I've been sent, and they've had to be reduced a bit.

    Regards
    Mike

    Mike,

I think it stands a very good chance of being good. I never cared much for the hollow backed ones, always prefered the full backed pieces myself. But overall I like what I see. Seems to be a lot of threads around these badges. Matt

This is not my favourite model of this badge, but it´s original for me, althrough some people says it´s a fake, just for this poor detailed eagle head and oakleaves around the swastika, lettering...
If you can... look for another one.
      Regards
      Greg

        Gents,

Many thanks for the responses, and positive ones at that!

For what it's worth, I've recently "bumped" into a couple of house clearers in Germany (the joys of the internet) who have so far only offered 100% original items. This badge is also being offered by them.

I like the hollow ones best--the original day badges sold at the rally were stamped, and the later ones that are RZM marked were available in both hollow and solid construction. The hollow ones hold up better because the solid types are usually either an aluminum alloy or zinc, both of which tend to lose their silver finish.
This looks like a good one to me!

          Festina lente!
