    KdF badge Köln-Aachen

Does somebody know more about this colorfull badge KdF Köln-Aachen; is it a membership (staff-badge KdF) or a occossion-badge of, for example a trip or festivity????.
Because its 1)expensive produced (good enamel-work and gold)
    2) It has no date!!so no special occassion, like KDF bronzewashed- iron tinnies have )
    I think it's an staff-badge; what's your opinion???
If you have more info , i would be glad.

Ben, I looked it up in Reinhard's tinnie book and he has it listed for 125 dm but it's one of his older books. I have emailed him about this badge and IM waiting for his reply I will post it when I receive it.

I'm surprised that this would be listed in a tinnie book as Weitze has it in his membership pin section. The catalog doesn't list the size, but I'll bet this piece isn't much more than 1/2 inch tall. Very likely a semi, semi-official Gau membership piece. Could also possibly be a contributor's thank you or a lapel identifier for Koln-Aachen folks embarked on a KdF cruise.

            KDF Gau Köln-Aachen badge

            To VerKuilen Ager,
This badge is a 40mm large and very well enameld and thick-gilded (also the back side).

Ben, I finialy got an anwser back from Reinhard. He says they can be both a Day badge and also a membership badge the better quality badges were for
higher ranking persons or for special guests!

Posted 1938 & 1939 KdF tinnies in the tinne thread, last page. Interesting to see different ones. Are these DAF related? Mike
