P.s. Is it possible to lighten up/clean the beige spots in the enamal?

What has create these spots? The white field is normally off- white with very tiny black spots (barele visible with the naked eye). I have encountered discoloration in the red enameled field (darker areas) but never saw it in the white enamel??

Hello Theo! I have no idea. It came to me in this condition. It was bought from Klaus Butschek. I dont want to mess with it, but when it's possible to get rid of the spots all tips are welcome

Is the badge magnetic? I mean made from iron or is it a copper alloy?
If it is the result of sloppy enamelling, I think there is nothing to do about it.

It maybe a repair to the enamel - - it maybe down to impurities in the the base metal - - whatever it is - - - in my opinion leave it as it is - - - it adds character and you may inadvertently do more damage
