    guy on ebay is selling these as period stickpins and badges,looks to me like he s started his own cottage industry utilizing pics of hitler and modern badges

        was this kind of technology of putting photos onto badges available during the third reich? Cheers, Torsten.

          It actually was. There are poliltical buttons going back to that period and earlier for elections in the US. I have also seen some WWI imperial buttons that had photos of the Kaiser and of Franz Josef on them. That being said, I have never seen any of this type button of Hitler before.

                      true ... with this being said and with the examples shown, I have actually had several Imperial Buttons like this in the past, but I don't think I have ever seen that type of technology being used in the Third Reich, which is why I never made the connection ... thanks for reminding me ...

                      The Hitler one shown by Terry certainly does look well aged and maybe it is something period made????

                      Terry, would you please provide a link to the seller's listings, so that we can have a look at the other badges he has on offer and get a better idea about the whole range that he is offering and if there is any chance that they might be original...?
