                    According to the auction information, Hitler was presented my medal in gold along with a silver version by Deschler as prototypes for his approval. Alas, the silver medal went to another buyer.

                              RPT 1933 Badge

                              Tom,

                              Your (and my) Silver version appear to have been made by Balmberger. The details are very similar and they also have the grained obverse. it would be great to have a side by side comparison.
