potsdam badge on e-stand

hey guys
whats your thoughts on the potsdam badge on the estand, the finish is like none i have seen looks almost gold?????and the reverse is certainly not textbook,whith a diff pin attachment and maker mark in a totally diff area is there a variation to the regular potsdam badge, as im really unsure of this one

Not one i would want in my collection, the pin is something i have
seen on repro tinnies, looks very crude.

I don't like the pin either. Yes,it looks kinda crude.

Sounds like bad news to me. I got this from a very prominent dealer several years ago. He had a large bag of tinnies that he accunulated from hotel buys and was selling them off.

Are you guys sure, or is it just different from the ones you have seen? In other words, have you ever seen another one just like this? If it is fake, surely there are others around...

This type of pin existed during the period. However I can understand the concerns of the people who replied already. The reverse surface looks not very smooth and the Hoffstätter mark is not very crisp. Maybe casted? I don't like it very much.

The pockmarks on the back make me think cast repro.
