I am horse frustrated. I have found some nice horse tinnies on a few dealer sites that I would have bought by now. But I am not a "tinnie guy" in the sense that some tinnie's are worth big bucks and most are worth $30. I just think $80-100 for a tinnie is too much. Not to mention some in not so good condition for $50-60.

                  Hi John

Great items you have...Congrats on these...

I really like the Allach Plaque, it's a lovely piece. Does the pic have a date on the back?

                  Best Regards, fischer

                    fischer,

Yes, 1936 if I recall correctly.

Nice collection.. What does the R stand for? I have seen post WWII German badges with an R on them as well. Most likely not related here is the badge I am talking about. Mike

                        Hi Mike,

R stands for the first letter of the name of the association "Reichsverband für Zucht und Prüfung deutschen Warmbluts", see the membership stick pin in Post 5.

The R on the badge in Post 25 is not for rider, it is for "Reservist", Reservisten-Leistungsabzeichen.
There are two "Leistungsabzeichen" (German Armed Forces Badge for Military Proficiency), one for active soldiers and one for former soldiers, reservists (with additional competitions).

                        Regards
                        Uwe

It seems Allach collectors have there own realm. SOme of the pieces I have seen are very beautiful and prices seem all over the place. What is the approximate value of this horse plaque? How rare are they?

The plaques are around US$250 to 300 or more, depending on the condition.
Its solid brass i think. They are not scarce or rare, but just not often seen.

Is your comment in reference to the brass ‘Reservisten-Leistungsabzeichen‘ or the Allach plaque questioned above?<O
