    Award or Tinnie?

This tinnie some think may have been an award rather than just a day badge. I'm in the camp that it may well have been an award with it's origins being the Putsch. I know that the HJ was not yet founded in 1923 but an early version of the group did exist. Wittmann was it's only maker and it came in both hollow and solid versions. In Johnson's War Booty book he shows a silver cased version engraved to Axmann. Anyone have any thoughts?

I forgot to mention that there is a version of this badge for the HJ Hochland as well as Munchen.

Famous collector David Littlejohn was the one that first floated the idea that this badge was possibly an award.

The hall on the item it question is certainly the same as on the blood order, and the inscription is the same, so I am leaning with littlejohn on this one. It could have very well been given as an award, or maybe as a 10 year anniversary of the putsch.
