Deutschland Erwache pin: unusal maker mark

this propaganda pin is a new arrival on the Collectors Guild site:

    http://www.germanmilitaria.com/Polit...s/N038361.html

what do the Party Pin experts say about this unique variant?

i find the maker mark rather attractive...one i havent seen before,
and while i am leaning towards the pin being right, i would appreciate the input
from the more senior Party Pin collectors...

It's the same maker's logo initials as on the one pictured in the old JR Cone reference book on enameled badges, 'One People, One Reich'. The one on the Canadian site is just like mine except that mine has its full-silver finish; many of these type badges are found today w/the thin silver finish gone, due mostly to over-zealous 'badge polishers' doing their thing over the years.

Indeed pictured in Cone's book. However Im' not a huge fan of badges with off -centered pin plates. But that's just my opinion. Also saw a horrible Grafe Ludendendorf badge already sold on that site.

True! But I must admit that I recently learned a lot of a dedicated party pin collector. Who in his turn knows a German party pin collector with more then 1000 party pins in his collection. Those guy's visiting the firms who made party pins and learn from them. They have done some exellent research of the Grafe Ludendorff badge and other sympathiser pins. Not to be very keen on such completely off - centered placed pinbacks is one of the things I learned from him. Also the point of not looking too much to the enamel but paying much more attention to the planchette and the pinplates if it comes to party pins and party pin related enamel badges.
