    RAD uniform

I got this one in a trade today.
I really cant see anything wrong with it. Everything seems to be original.
(offcourse your opinion is much welcome)
But I have one question, the slip on shoulder boards are they common to RAD uniforms?

It looks okay to me. I think the wartime/military type RAD tunics can be found with removeable boards.

Hi Eric and thank you for the reply!
                  I have one more question:
A friend told me that 2 RAD "soldiers" was awarded the knights cross. Is this true?
And was the RAD a fighting unit in the end of the war?

                  Best regards: Hasse.M

                    Hello,

I agree with Eric ,I see nothing wrong with the tunic,as for the 2 RAD KC winners this is true, there were also several KC winners that were latter in RAD units,I posted a picture of one man wearing his KC with his RAD uniform,go to the paper items /photo forum and type RAD KC winner in the search engine and it will bring up my thread on the subject with lots of good info and a few pictures!the RAD itself wasnt a fighting unit but at the end of the war they had several RAD combat divisions made up of a mixture of army personel and RAD men, some units saw action during the battle for Berlin.

                    regards Yancy
