NSDAP Party Badge, What the????

Here is another item I have had in a box wondering. I'm new to the site and going through some of my questionable pieces and am looking for some input from others. It's painted and notice the "Z" is backwards in the RZM stamp. I would say its a fake but I'm not that knowlegable on these items.
