    Goldern party badge ?

    hi guys,
    heres a couple of GPBs.
both are fuess marked and party numbered.
in my limited knoledge i feel the one with tape measure in photo is too sparkly gold.
    not sure on the other.
any pointers would be greatly welcomed.
    regards

i also noticed that on the back of the GPB (without tape in photo)the party number is out of line, the gap between the 7 and the rim is greater than the gap between the 2 and the rim.is this important?

          It helps...

But I like the first one and have my doubts on the second one.

They both have the traits of original Fuess badges IMO and I like them both.

Yes that's true, only a bad feeling about the second one.

I like both of them, although better photos of the front of the 2nd one would help. The numbers on the back were often not all exactly the same distance from the edge, so not to worry. It is more important that they are in the proper distinctive font.

Both look good to me. If the second one would be a fake they would have taken a huge step forward in copying them !!!! You never know these days but only better pictures can solve the doubts.

I am the owner of the second one, I have owned several of the smaller Fuess
party pins in my lifetime. I bought it from Robert Iqbal of Collector to Collector Militaria. It sure compares to the other one I have right now. And it seems right, according to my experience in the past. I wished I owned the second one and maybe some way, some one can put me in contact with the owner of the second one, with the same number.
Too answer Brownshirts question, I might be able to shine a little light on this subject of it being too bright. I do not know where he got the pictures, but they are copies of copies and I used a scanner to take them and when you use a scanner, it does tend to brighten shiny things a little to much. You do get a un-natural flash.
The pictures were originally in a higher resolution and they looked much better before they were reduced to what is posted.
Anymore opinions, or just any dialog would be interesting.
                        Jack

Hi Jack, that's just great. I am not sure I'll be able to determine where the pictures of the other 64377 were coming from, but I am certainly going to give it a try.

If I understood correctly, this link may get you in touch with the owner of your GPB's twin: http://www.worldwarmilitaria.com/for...6&postcount=16

If not, this would be your own posting.

                              Golden Party pin

I went outside to photograph the GPB and the sky was overcast, so they did not come out as well as I wanted, but for those who want to see better pictures and not 3rd generation, here it is.
I want to thank der-hase-fee, for his help and I will follow through and see what I can do.
