Hello,
I have an inquiry. A friend of mine has asked for my opinion about a blutorden but this is not my field and I would need knowledgeable fellow members' opinions.
Here is the description given by him :
- it is hallmarked 4433
- Also, it doesn't have the thin wire hanger attached.
- The maker's name is on the outside edge of the
medal (it's "Friedrich Orth Wien")
- there is a 800 silver content stamp
Sorry but there is no pic available for the moment.
In my opinion, I would say that the maker mark sounds bad because Blutorden were found
- either bearing a 990 silver content stamp with the J. Fuess caption,
- or with only a 800 silver content stamp and without any mention of the manufacturer.
But, as I told you before, Political awards are far from being my field so I can be totally wrong.
Who can help us ?
Many thanks in advance
Regards
Denis
