I have just aquired a booklet for the award of the bronze grade badge in 1940.
What would be an estimate on the mumber of bronze awards in total and for that year?
Also the book, filled out, what is an approx value? It's the first I have had.

In 1940 there were 5575 Reiterabzeichen in Bronze awarded.

In good condition with all pages present, the value is about $ 40.

However if the award booklet is to a known German, the value can be much higher

I am ressurecting this old discussion to post a St&L reiter badge I have had for decades. I am shocked at the poor workmanship and apparant spilling of solder, or other pollutant, on the reverse writing.

Is this considered to be a post-war copy?

Bob, it looks like an original late war zinc Steinhauer but as you say, a very poor cast.

              Hello,
Since this thread has been resurrected I figured I'd post a few of my horse related items also. They might have been posted elsewhere so hope no one objects to seeing them again on this thread. First is my black iron HJ donation plaque as others have shown. Here is a silver version of the outstanding achievement in Equestrian care and handling plaque.

Lastly here is a silver and gold version of the Honor plaque for horse breeding. I haven't seen too many of these around and I wonder if anyone knows the exact specifications for it's awarding or how many were awarded, The gold version has been denazified & I'd like to think that that is because whoever it was awarded to wanted to keep it post war but did not want a swastica on it. I don't have a picture of both plaques together with their cases so I have shown only the plaques. I still have not found a cased bronze version to acquire...yet. Again sorry if these have been shown elsewhere before.
                thanks for looking

I have been looking for a bronze Badge for the Care of Horses (Deutsches Pferdepflegerabzeichen). I am curious. Does anyone have one in their collection? Does anyone know where I can purchase one?

                    Thank you,

                    Chad
