got this from a good friend today in a fliegerschützen etui

can anyone tell me abotu the number? is it possible to find out the owner?

the only way i know to match a badge with a winner is to find the award booklet and match the number in there to the badge but as you know this would be extremely difficult if not impossible

i think there were approx. 11 thousand of these badges awarded, so it would be near impossible to match it to any one person without the paperwork!!
