    Time Capsule Tinnie

Hello, I would be interested to know if anyone has ever encountered a similar tinnie to the ones shown below Although on first inspection one appears to be a bronze version and one silver, is this the case or has the silver Badge just survived the passage of time better preserved ? It is worth mentioning that they did not come together or from the same contact, I purchased one in Austria and then came across the other example a year later in Germany
    regards Martin

      Martin,
My tired old eyes have fooled me before, but the way it looks to me is there`s more wear to one than the other. But then again, I`ve been wrong before. At least thats what my wifes told me (over and over and over)

Hello Chris, you and me both...... my eyes are kerput also we both spend too much time looking at tinnies under the eye loupe Joking aside I would think that you are correct, Perhaps one was polished a very long time ago and over the years has developed the chocolate bronze patina. Regarding the Wife always accept they are right and remember the golden rule 'Always tell them what they want to hear and not what you want to tell them'
        Regards Martin

Martin, do you know the base material of the silver one? Could it be bronze? Cheers, Torsten.

PS: Both look nice and original German-Austrian friendship badges to me

Hello Torsten, yes I am quite sure that the base metal is Bronze on the silver example
            Regards Martin
