Party badge with attaching strap

Greetings: I am not sure if this is even a party badge. It has the same general appearance but no logo printed on it. Also instead of attaching pins it has a leather strap and hook. I am almost tempted to call it a key chain, except for the quality of it and the hook is too small. I have never seen anything like it and would be grateful if anyone could share some information as to what it might be.Thank you for all replies and comments

Exactly correct. The clip hooks to the bow of the pocket watch. Very nice one!

Greetings : Thank you for expalining what it was. What is a "fob" and would the manufacturer "LWS" also manufacture medals????? Who would wear this....civilians,walking out military?? Would it be available to the common person or aristocrats. Thank you again and I really appreciate any further information you can provide.

Prior to the passing of an anti Kitsch law in the early 30s, this sort of item was available for anyone to purchase. Fobs were used to allow the watch to be removed from a jacket pocket, watch pocket in the trousers, vest pocket, etc. Typically the pocket is too small for anything but the watch, so a chain or fob was needed. This one would proclaim the patriotism of the original owner, so it would be like wearing a US flag pin on the lapel. Use of this sort of item was specifically forbidden with the SA uniform, and I assume with other political organizations as well.
