Hi Joe, compare the badge you have shown with the original Deschler 25mm sized badge shown here:

Cheers, Ade.

This is edited as I have had a good look at the badge and the site and I really like it!
I spot that the number is curved and its maker marked so its unusual if its original, it actually looks very convincing but that is coming from me, a total novice!
Does anybody have a opinion on its originality?
I would be very grateful thanks, also a thanks to ade who has been very helpful.
Many thanks,
JoeLast edited by Joe Mc; 11-05-2008, 05:17 PM.

Heres the closest I am to a gold party badge, and what started my interest:

I've edited my original reply to suit a bit more. There are a few pointers that I have picked up off the site that makes me a bit uncofortable that I have mentioned.
Hopefully it is right as I really want to get my hands on one of these!
Many thanks,
Joe

There's nothing wrong with that badge - it is a nice, genuine small Deschler.
The mistake some people make is assuming they are looking at a large 30.5 mm Gold Party Badge when they are looking at a 24 mm small version. The characteristics are different between them, specifically the number of leaves and the font on the front (round "O"s versus oval ones).
